I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been primarily just busy with life. I find that I still snap photos and I should share them. So, I’m going to try to get better at it.
Here’s a new photo!
I love the night passionately. I love it as I love my country, or my mistress, with an instinctive, deep, and unshakeable love. I love it with all my senses: I love to see it, I love to breathe it in, I love to open my ears to its silence, I love my whole body to be caressed by its blackness. — Guy de Maupassant
There really is something very attractive by a cool, dark, night. It’s one of the reasons I used to love going camping. Now, I’m too old for sleeping on the ground. :)
If dogs could talk, perhaps we would find it as hard to get along with them as we do with people. — Josef Capek
It’s true. I think one of the main reasons we like dogs, as they’re deep listeners and they love without judgement.
We run, not because we think it is doing us good, but because we enjoy it and cannot help ourselves. The more restricted our society and work become, the more necessary it will be to find some outlet for this craving for freedom. No one can say, ‘You must not run faster than this, or jump higher than that.’ The human spirit is indomitable. — Roger Bannister
Having been there, I get this desire to run… It’s all the stuff that happens after you run that I have the problem with…
Our sun is one of 100 billion stars in our galaxy. Our galaxy is one of the billions of galaxies populating the universe. It would be the height of presumption to think that we are the only living things within that enormous immensity. — Wernher von Braun
Well, if you put it that way… I now feel very small.
Human beings are unable to be honest with themselves about themselves. They cannot talk about themselves without embellishing. This script portrays such human beings — the kind who cannot survive without lies to make them feel they are better people than they really are. – Akira Kurosawa
An interesting quote. What would happen if humans could be arrested for “puffery?”
I love playing bitches. There’s a lot of bitch in every woman — a lot in every man. — Joan Crawford
I think this is ultimately true. Sometimes you have to be the bitch.
