From the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. 
I went for a little drive on my lunch break down Marine Drive, next to the Columbia River. I stopped because I noticed this vast storm brewing, I couldn’t help but notice the whole scene. The Glenn Jackson Bridge is in the distance, Washington on your right, Oregon on your left.
Also, this is my 400th post.
Ok. Maybe not for miles, my eyes aren’t that good. On a clear day, though, you can see for, what feels like, forever. The Columbia River Gorge, on a clear day, offers spectacular views from many different vantage points.

Today’s photo from the Columbia River Gorge, shows the waterfall, as seen through the trees. There’s something special about this shot.
Taken in the Columbia River Gorge, while hiking some waterfall trails. I couldn’t help but notice the vibrance of the colors found in this frame. The stark lines and the soft clouds. I’m particularly proud of this shot.

I just really like this view.
I took this photo while on a day trip with a friend. We only had a few minutes to stop by this waterfall, but I loved all the things going on in this photo. I hope you enjoy it too. I find it a little dizzying as I’m not sure where to look. hehehe. I think that’s what draws me to it.
I get to see some neat things in my day-to-day life. I had to work in Hood River, Oregon today. On my way out of town, I noticed there were some low-lying clouds floating up the Gorge. So I stopped and took a picture, I think you have just about all of the types of weather represented. Sun, Rain and Snow – That’s the Pacific Northwest for you.
I’m off on a field trip for my Geology class today. Meaning a self-guided tour of some rocks. Since it’s in the Columbia River Gorge, i’m going to freeze off my bum. I was reminded of this quote and I laughed.
